Musa ‚São Tomé‘

Dessert and cooking banana

One about 10 feet tall African banana cultivar, which is also cultivated in Brazil. Probably it belongs to the group AAB or ABB, it belongs to the section Musa. Two forms of this cultivar should exist, one with reddish peel and another with yellowish peel. It’s suitable to cook and fry very well.

Until today this cultivar is still unknown in Europe.

Since 16th September 2009 I have this cultivar in my yard in Lucianópolis, best thanks to Helton Josué and his wife Emilene.
